Samsung has launched two
new smartphones in the
sub-Rs 10,000 segment,
Galaxy Trend and Galaxy
Star Pro. Both the phones
have been listed on the
company's official India
website. The Galaxy Trend
has been priced at Rs 8,260,
while Galaxy Star Pro costs
Rs 6,730. The all-new
Samsung Galaxy Trend has a
4-inch TFT screen with
resolution of 800x480p and
233ppi pixel density. It
comes with a 1.2GHz dual-
core processor and runs on
Android 4.0 (Ice Cream
Sandwich). This handset has
4GB internal storage and
supports microSD expansion
up to 32GB. Connectivity
options in the Galaxy Trend
include 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi,
Bluetooth 3.0 and microUSB
2.0. It has a 3.15MP camera
without rear flash on the
back. Powered by a
1,500mAh battery, this
phone comes in black colour
and has dual-sim
functionality. Samsung
Galaxy Star Pro has a 3-
inch screen with 320x240p
resolution and pixel density
of 133ppi. This smartphone
runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly
Bean) and has a 1GHz
processor and 512MB RAM.
It comes with 4GB onboard
storage and allows microSD
cards up to 32GB. Galaxy
Star Pro has a 2MP rear and
connectivity options like 2G,
Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and
microUSB 2.0. It is available
in white colour and comes
with a 1,200mAh battery as
well as dual-sim
functionality.
